Für die iPhone-App „4 Ears“ (im App Store: „Message Translator: 4 Ears“). Stand: 21. Oktober 2026

Kurz gesagt: Alles, was du in 4 Ears eingibst, bleibt auf deinem iPhone.

8. Was es nicht gibt

Keine Registrierung, keine Werbung, keine Analyse- oder Tracking-Werkzeuge, keine Weitergabe oder Verkauf von Daten.

Privacy Policy

For the iPhone app “4 Ears” (on the App Store: “Message Translator: 4 Ears”). Last updated: October 21, 2026

In short: Everything you enter in 4 Ears stays on your iPhone. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. As the developer, I never see your entries.

1. Controller

Email: info@markovijeko.de

2. What the app stores – only on your device

The app stores the messages you enter, the people and situations you pick, how you split them across the four ears, your interpretations and your settings. This data lives only in a database on your iPhone. It is encrypted by iOS data protection and can only be read while your device is unlocked. It is not sent to me or to anyone else.

3. Dictation (microphone and speech recognition)

When you tap “Dictate”, the app asks once for access to the microphone and speech recognition. Recognition runs directly on your iPhone. The audio is neither stored nor transmitted; only the recognized text goes into the input field. If your device does not support on-device recognition, the app does not offer dictation. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings.

4. Clipboard

The app reads the clipboard only when you tap “Paste”.

5. Sharing

Sharing only happens when you start it, through the iOS share sheet. The app you share to (for example a messenger) processes the content under its own privacy policy.

6. Backups

If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, it may include the app’s data. You control this in iOS Settings; Apple’s privacy policy applies.

7. App updates

On launch, the app checks with Expo (650 Industries, Inc., USA), the service the app is built with, for small updates. Only technically necessary information is transmitted, such as IP address, app version and platform – no content from the app. Expo may use servers outside the EU. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in fixing bugs and security issues quickly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

8. What there isn’t

No sign-up, no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, no sharing or selling of data.

9. Deleting your data

In the app under Settings → Delete all entries. If you delete the app, iOS removes all of its data from your device.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Since I don’t receive any of your content, I can usually only confirm that I have nothing stored. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Austria the Datenschutzbehörde.

11. Changes

If the app changes, I will update this policy. The version published here applies.

11. Cambios

Si la app cambia, actualizaré esta política. Se aplica la versión publicada aquí.
